At the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked Myanmar to pay attention to promoting existing agricultural and fishery projects between the two countries but not yet developed as expected; to facilitate the allocation of land for Vietnam's industrial tree development projects in Myanmar. Myanmar's President also agreed to promote tourism promotion and promotion programs, soon discussing the increase of visa exemption period from 14 days to 30 days for ordinary passport holders of the two countries.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also thanked Myanmar for pledging to support Vietnam to stand for a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the term of 2020-2021. On the maritime dispute, the two sides emphasized the importance of maintaining regional peace and stability, freedom of navigation and aviation in the South China Sea; affirmed in favor of peaceful settlement of disputes on the basis of respect for international law.
On the same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with Nepalese Prime Minister Sharma Oli. This is the first historical visit of a senior leader of Nepal to Vietnam since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1975.
In the afternoon of the same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also met with the Vice President, Indian Senate President Venkaiah Naidu.
